We had a wonderful time of prayer and visioning as Christian Aboriginal Leaders from Broome (Mark, Mathew and Siobhan) and Melbourne (Patrick and Jo) gathered in Manila during the ARISE Regional Conference for Asia Pacific. Our Regional Director, Kafoa, and Australia/New Zealand Field Strategy Coordinator, Satish, graciously invited this group to come together for a conversation about establishing a pioneer district for this aboriginal work in Australia. Our 29 year veteran missionaries to aboriginal people, Jongil and Sunjoo, were also in attendance along with Cindy and me.
THANK YOU to those who gave to the cause of helping five of us get to this conference. Your sacrifice to make this happen is a great blessing to all of us. Our aboriginal brothers and sisters were greatly encouraged by the welcome they received and extremely excited about the multi-cultural nature of the global church of the Nazarene. Everyone left the conference inspired and challenged for what the Holy Spirit is doing and will do as we continue in prayer and surrender.
Please pray…
1) For unity in this team as we focus our attention on the need for fervent prayer to seek where God wants us to focus in the remote areas of Western Australia.
2) For the Spirit to break down strong holds held captive by the evil one in this culture.
3) For our patience to wait and be bathed in prayer first, so that we will be aligned with God’s Kingdom purposes and move in the Spirit’s power before executing next steps.
