AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND FIELD
Our assignment, being only one of two missionary couples on the ANZ Field, means we have to wear more than one HAT!! One of those additional hats is to host Work and Witness Teams. (now called Nazarene TEAMS) so…..
In JULY we helped host the Joplin District Team who spent over two weeks in New Zealand doing prayer, outreach, and evangelism in both Whangarei and Dargaville. We had a wonderful time in Auckland (hosted by DS Paul Talluri and the many churches in New Zealand) at the National Office with a Children’s event on Saturday morning and Youth event that night.
One of the highlights was getting to go to the Hobbiton Movie Set where it rained during the entire 2.5 hour tour. The venue has recently added a complete inside replica of a Hobbit Home with such amazing details.
ALWAYS GOOD to be with family
July began with some much-needed HOLIDAY time. We had a wonderful time with friends and were able to celebrate special birthdays with the NORTH extended family.
Many of you may know that Rob’s brother, Jon (above right) was elected as the sixth President of Mid-America Nazarene University – we are so so proud of him – click here to read more about Jon North’s appointment as MNU president. Our time also included the celebration of life of two family members (after their recent passing) as well as the memorial service of a dear mentor and Christ servant, Al Jones (who served as missionary in both Kenya and Australia).
