This was an anniversary month for us as our special day found us in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia and we were in our first excursion with the caravan, “Beauty.” It was a joy to be able to facilitate a Women’s Retreat on 11-13 October. The Holy Spirit was truly working as stories of healing from shame, returning to God’s call, and seeking after God’s mercy and peace were echoing in our ears and hearts.
31 YEARS of the GREAT Adventure!
9 October 1993 was the day Rob and I began life committed to God and each other… “the cord of three strands is not easily broken” but for sure it is tested. We thank God for bringing us through many ups and downs while keeping us bound together with Him in mission and service to many settings and cultures we could never have dreamed to go.
Our season in Kenya began on the 9th of October 2014 when we landed in Nairobi to work with Africa Nazarene University. Fast forward ten years and we find another new season is upon us. We are so amazed at God’s calling, intervention and providence in our lives.
This week we leave Brisbane and move out towards Melbourne by way of Sydney. We hope to connect with Nazarene leaders and churches along the way.
Thanks for your prayers, support, and encouragement in this new season. We know we are not alone and the body of Christ joins us on this pilgrimage. Each day is a gift.
As we reflect on your words, shared meals, hugs, and prayers, we also lift you before our Lord Jesus Christ and believe He is also with you now wherever you are.

We spent five nights at the home of Bruce and Michelle Newitt. Their place was a heavenly spot for us to camp with the Caravan. This is a place to learn more about self-sufficient living.
Many of you know of the water shortage in Australia, and Bundaberg certainly has its challenges. Installed at the Hewitt homestead are four 2,500 gallon tanks (10,000 gallon total) that store off the water catchment of their home’s roof.
They also have an additional 10,000 gallon tank that catches the water off their six-bay work barn. Between the solar panels and water catchment they are pretty-near self-sustainable.
